Red Dot pistol

This course focuses on mastering red dot pistols, the increasingly popular choice for carry weapons. This class is designed to provide individuals with the essential skills to excel in this advanced technology and is intended for anyone with little or no formal experience operating an RDS(red dot sight) pistol. This course teaches safe handling and efficient operation of an RDS equipped pistol.  Students will learn correct techniques for drawing and presenting the weapon, as well as fundamental techniques for employing the handgun for self defense. This course is intended to address specifics of RDS use not found with traditional iron sight pistols. This course exceeds the TCOLE requirements for course #2529 and is available for TCOLE credit.

    • Reacquiring the RDS

    • Maximizing target focus shooting

    • Practical and precision accuracy  

    • Serviceable semi-auto pistol of 9mm or larger caliber equipped with Red Dot Sight

    • Quality belt with OWB holster strong side or appendix holster and magazine pouch

    • At least 3 magazines

    • 750 rounds of ammunition

    • Comfortable clothing (weather appropriate)

    • Eye and ear protection

    • Water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray

  • Duration: 8 hours

    • U.S. Citizen.

    • Able to legally carry a firearm.

    • Able to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during courses of fire.

    • Previously taken Intro Pistol 2 or other firearms training to include courses of fire where your were required to show safe weapons handling, and safely drawing from a holster

  • STS courses are not eligible for refunds within 30 days of the originally scheduled course date. In the event that STS reschedules a course due to an obligation the 30-day policy shifts to the newly scheduled date. If the refund is requested more than 30 days from the scheduled course date, the buyer will be given a full refund or course credit to use on a future course.     You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. Your item must be unworn and in the condition that it was received. Unless the item is damaged the item will be shipped at the buyer's expense. If the buyer would like to exchange the item for another size or item of equal value the item will be returned at the buyer's expense.
